Need a beautiful, conditioned cutting/charcuterie board for Valentines Day? Or want to show that special someone your new skill in woodworking?

This woodworking class will aim to educate others on the safety and protocol of common machines used in woodworking, especially those used to make charcuterie boards from live edge cuts of maple or walnut. The result will be a 1”x12”x15”+ cutting and/or charcuterie board with a routed cove groove for easy grip (optional) and finished with a natural board conditioner and protectant containing beeswax, mineral oil, and vitamin E.

Requirements: No experience needed! We will supply all safety gear that is needed.

Instructor: Cass Griger

Cost: $150 ($120 for HackPGH members)

Age Requirements: 16+ (minors can participate, but MUST have parent or guardian present at all times and to sign waiver)

Class limit: This is a six-hour class for two people with a 30 minute break halfway for rest. If this class fills up, please check the calendar as we try to offer it every Sunday!

Health notice: Participants MUST wear a mask at all times! If you have flu-like symptoms or have been recently exposed to COVID-19, we ask that you not attend. We will provide you with a refund.
