It’s Valentine’s Day. You’re done with dinner. The cake was great – it was so delicious and moist! Now it’s time to exchange gifts. You hand them the Companion Cube that you made yourself. They gasp and cry out, “This was a triumph!” You smile and think to yourself, “Making a note here: huge success!”

In this class students will learn to use a CO2 laser cutter. Skills taught are how to load pre-formatted images into Lightburn, how to format the image for cutting versus etching, and physical operation of the laser cutter. At the end, each student will have pieces to assemble their own Companion Cube. There will be wood glue and optional paint available for students to stay after class to assemble their cubes together, or you may take your materials home to assemble it with your own wood glue and paint. One Companion Cube is included in to cost of the class. Once each student has had a turn using the laser cutter, if anyone has a desire to make an additional Companion Cube they may do so for $15.
