Immerse Yourself in a World of Adventure with Dungeons & Dragons at HackPGH!
Have you ever wanted to step into the shoes of a hero and embark on epic quests? Curious about how to play the world’s most famous tabletop role-playing game, Dungeons & Dragons? Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or new to the game, this campaign is for you! Join us at HackPGH for a bi-monthly, in-person D&D campaign that’s beginner-friendly and open to all experience levels. In this ongoing campaign, you’ll learn the fundamentals of character creation, role-playing, and tactical combat as you journey through a world filled with danger, mystery, and magic.
As a bonus during the introductory session (9/14), players will be able to design and 3D print their own custom miniature using one of HackPGH's four 3D printers:
- Bambu P1S w/AMS
- Bambu P1S
- Bambu X1 Carbon w/AMS
- Prusa XL (w/ dual extruders)
The details of the game sessions include:
- Creating unique characters
- Understanding the core mechanics of D&D
- Building strategies for combat and problem-solving
- Collaborative storytelling with other players
- Exploring rich narrative-driven adventures
Requirements: No prior experience needed. All materials, including character sheets, dice, and rulebooks, will be provided.
Dates and Times: Bi-monthly on Saturdays:
Session 1: Saturday, September 14th from 12:00pm-3:30pm
Session 2: Saturday, September 28th from 12:00pm-3:30pm
Cost: $65/month for non-members, $60/month for HackPGH members (covers two sessions). No-shows will NOT be refunded. If you need to cancel, please contact HackPGH at least 48 hours before the session date!
Instructor/Dungeon Master: Aaron Stein (aarondungeonmaster), a DM with 25+ years of experience!
